News from the Committee.

Extraordianry meeting, 5th April 1999.

The committee met on Monday 5th April 1999, and discussed various issues relating to the current presentation (Burning Questions), and an annual subscription charge. Two items discussed are reported below.

Members present were

  • Dennis Wildman, Chairman.
  • Mike Thomas, Secretary.
  • Jacki Thomas, music group.
  • Douglas Brown, drama group.
  • Paula Darrall (to whom our thanks for hosting the meeting).
  • Ted Auld.
  • Celia Auld.

Annual subscriptions.

Many members (present when Revelation formed in November 1997) may recall that it was agreed that Revelation would charge an annual membership fee to help cover printing, posting, and general expenses, but this has been waived in the first two years.

Last year we ran a deficit in this account and the balance was picked up by members of the Revelation committee - despite the fact we received £100 in donations from the hosts of our various presentations.

Therefore, this year, we do feel that we shall have to levy a membership fee of £5 for all adult members of Revelation, but excluding

  • students (in full-time education), and
  • senior citizens.

If you would like to send a cheque for you contribution, please make it payable to "Pharisee Bracknell". (This was the account that was set up to handle expenses for an earlier presentation). Cheques should be sent to Mike Thomas, Secretary, at the usual address.

Burning Questions - Rehearsal Pack.

Dates were finalised for the presentations of "Burning Questions", and these (with workshop dates) can be seen in the Diary of events.

Rehearsal material for the "Burning Questions" presentation can be obtained direct from Mike Thomas. This will include a tape of the original Rob Frost touring show, plus a book of the music and sketches. This rehearsal pack will cost members an extra £5. After deducting costs, a donation will be sent to Rob Frost to support his ministry.

To reduce administration costs, members are asked to combine their payment for a Burning Questions rehearsal pack with their 1999 subscription payment into a single cheque (for £10) payable to "Pharisee Bracknell".
