From left to right : Lucy Brown (age 9), Jenyth Turner (age 14) and Joanne Turner (age 9). These young ladies danced as angels in a couple of the songs and, with their fathers, formed the crowd scenes for much of the presentation. Watch out for more from these youngsters - there is some serious talent emerging here. Performers resting their laurels ... beware!

Extract from a church newsletter.
The following is an extract from "IN TOUCH", the Christmas 1998
newsletter for Aldershot Methodist Church. This refers to the
presentation of Simeon at their church on 6th December 1998. "... We can't finish without mentioning a visit from Revelation, a group formed of singers, instrumentalists, actors and dancers from a 25-mile radius. They presented Roger Jones musical Simeon in a very simple and effective way, which was by turns musical, educational, funny and moving. It was an unusual and well-received version of the first Christmas events with which, perhaps, we have become too familiar. The drama, partly written by Steve Hunt [...], includes cries to God which spanned the ages to the present day which became progressivly more desparate. Very emotional. Brill!" |
